Scholarships

The 2025 scholarship window is now open. Non-traditional and at-large applications will be accepted through April 26, 2025.

Scholarships are funded through unclaimed capital credits and distributed via the Federated Youth Foundation (FYF).

Scholarship Categories

Local Seniors

 

Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded at each of the following schools: 

-Butternut

-Chequamegon

-Phillips

-Prentice

-Rib Lake

Applications will be made available at and submitted to each school.

 

At-Large Seniors

 

Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to at-large or non-traditional applicants. 

To be considered at-large: 

-Student is a high school senior

-Student does not attend a local high school 

-Students' parent/guardian is an active PEC member

Applications should be submitted directly to PEC. 

 

Non-Traditional

Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to non-traditional or at-large applicants. Applicant must be 25 or older, and one of the following: 

-Did not continue or complete college after high school. 

-Attends college part-time.

-Currently works full-time. 

-Has children or dependents other than a spouse.

Applications should be submitted directly to PEC. 

Scholarship Criteria

High School Seniors

  • Applicant's parent/legal guardian must be an active member of PEC.
  • Applicant must be a graduating high school senior.
  • Applicant must have a 4 year cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Applicant must plan to continue in post-secondary education.
  • Applicant must be accepted into the school in which the scholarship would apply.
  • Family income is not a deciding factor in scholarship awards.
  • Scholarship must be redeemed within two years of being awarded. 
  • Scholarships are selected by independent panel.
